Privacy Policy
Jingle Doors lets you make a digital advent calendar and send it to someone with a private link. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the service, we don't sell your information, and we don't show ads.
Who this covers
- Givers: people who sign in to make a calendar. You must be 18 or older.
- Recipients: people who open a calendar from a link. Recipients don't create an account.
What we collect from givers
- Account details: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
- What you put in a calendar: names, messages, notes, photos, gift card codes and gift links, your choice of look and content, and the time zone the doors open in.
- Payment records: when you upgrade, our payment processor, Stripe, handles your card. We receive the amount, the plan, the date and your email address. We never see or store your full card number.
What we collect from recipients
- Nothing that identifies you. Which doors you've opened and any coloring pages you've colored are saved only on your own device, in your browser's storage.
- If you report a calendar, we store what you write in the report.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider, Google Firebase, keeps standard server logs such as IP addresses and request times, which help keep the service secure and working. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
How we use information
- To create, store and show your calendar to people who have its link.
- To keep each door, including gift codes, sealed until its date.
- To process payments and give you the features you paid for.
- To review reports, prevent abuse and keep the service safe.
- To answer you when you contact us.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud, which host the site and store calendars.
- Stripe, which processes payments under its own privacy policy.
- Anyone you give your calendar link to. Anyone with the link can open the calendar, so share it only with the person it's for.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Children
Givers can make calendars for children, but children don't sign up or give us information. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you include a child's photo or name in a calendar, you're responsible for having the right to share it. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep a calendar until you delete it. You can delete any calendar in the app at any time, which removes its doors, photos and gift codes and turns off its link. To delete your account entirely, email us. We keep payment records as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Security
Calendar links are long and random so they can't be guessed. Gift codes and personal doors are released only on their date. No system is perfectly secure, so don't put anything in a calendar you couldn't bear to have shared.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your calendars in the app. You can ask us for a copy of your information or ask us to correct or delete it by emailing hello@jingledoors.christmas. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let givers know by email.
